The Instinct sensor is made by Abbott exclusively for MiniMed 780 G system. The Instinct sensor is a 15-day sensor that is accurate, stable, and consistent for 15 full days, without fingersticks. The Instinct sensor is paired with the Medtronic 780G System.
This integrated system provides real-time glucose readings, automated insulin delivery adjustments, and proactive alerts including an Instinct Sensor updating alert. The Instinct sensor monitors the health of the sensor to ensure it’s reliable for use. Since the system is free of calibrations, safety checks have been put into place. The Sensor Updating alert indicates when the system is confirming sensor reliability.
